Renowned Russian actor Boris Shcherbakov, 75, has opened up about his health following his recent hospitalization. The actor, who suffered a severe facial injury after a fall on a staircase in December 2023, has now fully recovered and resumed his professional activities.
Shcherbakov was rushed to the hospital after the accident, which left him with significant facial trauma, including a fractured cheekbone. Fortunately, his teeth remained unharmed. He underwent surgery and spent several weeks recovering before being discharged just before the New Year.
By late January, Shcherbakov made his first stage appearance since the incident, performing in the play "Free Couple" alongside actress Masha Aronova in St. Petersburg. Despite concerns from colleagues and friends, the actor insists he is in good health and ready to continue his career.
"Thank God, everything is fine now. Right after the New Year, I fully returned to work," Shcherbakov shared. However, he has yet to resume filming for movies, humorously referring to this period as a "short break."
While Shcherbakov is taking a cautious approach to his film projects, his return to the stage marks a significant milestone in his recovery. Fans and colleagues alike are relieved to see him back in action, and the actor remains optimistic about his future endeavors.
