Alexandra Khadzh, a millionaire blogger from Crimea, revealed the main drawback of domestic video hosting platforms during an interview on "Crimea 24." According to her, the algorithm systems on these platforms are poorly functioning, which makes it difficult for content creators to understand how to gain subscribers and what types of videos become popular.
"They are working on improving their platforms, trying to enhance them, but there is no systematic algorithm work. Content creators don't understand how to gain subscribers or what content becomes popular," she noted.
She also added that Russian services are improving, but they still have a long way to go before reaching a level that would attract bloggers to "come and publish videos there, just like on the original platform."
It is worth mentioning that after the removal of the "Crimea 24" channel from YouTube, the Crimean branch of the Society of Journalists filed a lawsuit, accusing the platform of violating freedom of speech.
